What Is Left is a short-form science fiction comic that tells the story of a ship that runs on memory whose engine malfunctions in the dead of space, killing all aboard except for a single engineer who remains trapped inside the reservoir of another crew member’s memories. Originally published by Shortbox in 2018 and collected in the anthology Don’t Go Without Me in 2020, What is Left received an Eisner nomination in 2019, as well as a 5 star review in Sci Fi Magazine.
